Its interesting the numbers seem allocated then or is it just the last ones? A customer of mine must be one of the ones you want to knock off as has his deposit down for the second from last with the last one not being sold.
He has a fair old collection though and used to work for land rover from what he said. Defender puma dormobile camper |

I have to be honest if something doesn't pop it's head up soon in the Defender world I can see me going to the dark side I have had my 90 since 2007 and apart from a new reg what's differences have there been in 7 years jack apart from a smaller engine it's pathetic

I've said it many pages ago in this thread, if there will be a last version, it will be purely cosmetic... And then Land Rover will have to go out of their way, and dig very very deep in their designer talent box, to come up with something which would come even close to the below.

Unless I’m missing something, isn’t this just a shiny standard truck with some bolt-ons? In other words, exactly what prospective owners of “the last real Land Rover” DON’T want?

Just ordered my new 110 HCAP pickup for a December delivery.
Dealer said they have been told no more pickups of any sort after March. Also asked about new Defender. I forget the exact words, but were told the new chassis design did not allow for the chassis only options and so it is back to the drawing board, as these bespoke options are still desired. |

From the horse's mouth:
"special run-out editions of the Defender, identifying the broad conceptual space between the Camel Trophy and Paris-Dakar as interesting ground for such a vehicle. Land Rover will use 2015 as a celebration of its outgoing Defender. Edwards was adamant that the car’s owners would not be forgotten about in the years to come and highlighted the opportunities to engage with its fan base via the heritage wing of the new division. ^^Very unlikely. As of 01-01-2015 the Euro 6 norm will come in force for all passenger cars. I guess Land Rover have found some loophole for the Defender allowing them an extra year or so, but surely some time in 2016 at the latest it will become impossible anywhere in the EU to still register a new car which does not meet Euro 6 norms. I doubt that Land Rover will (be able to) go to the extreme to further refine the Defender emissions from the current Euro 5.....
Unless they secretly have a 2.0 or 1.8 liter Duratorq engine with a Selective Catalytic Reduction and/or AdBlue tucked away somewhere for that purpose. Don't think so.
