Fitted a rear door gas strut. Easy to fit even with two fingers in a bandage from a chainsaw argument I lost. Also added a curry hook to the back door that will be tested later with a chicken jalfrezi

Drove to pick up a secondhand starting handle for the S2A.
Learned that the RRC once had a starting handle too but a slightly different size/length. Does anyone know when this feature was deleted from the RRC? 1970 Series 2A 88" |

I remember my 1979 Classic had the hole in the bumper, wasn't much use as it had a York 6cyl marine version of the old Transit A series in it.

Mine brought me and the boys up to York yesterday. We met up with some friends and went round the National Railway museum today followed by a large meal. Tomorrow will see us heading back home via Leeds calling in on more friends for Sunday lunch. It'll be close on 500 miles round trip just to be sociable!

Didn't get to go to Bournemouth air show as planned after the trip to the Hydrotherapy centre for the dog, got soaked dog loved it. So went home got the pair of them settled and then enlisted the help of SWMBO to sit in the back and locate the v v v v very annoying rattle that has tuned itself to my hearing. It was in the left rear and just seemed to piece my left ear. Anyway after driving around SWMBO thought it was the lock of the new MSS locker, then the left most hinge then the ........ So I said you drive and I'll listen, I thought it was the hinge the trim....anyway found it and now no noise.......other than the usual. _______________________________

Took mine and the family for a holiday to Tuscany via chamonix on the way down and stopped for a few nights at lago maggiore on the way back. Here's a picture taken at the top of the simplon pass when we stopped for coffee on the way back. The cruise control I had fitted before we left was great in France and Italy, bog all use when we hit blighty yesterday though due to the amount of traffic jams.

Went to Bournemouth air show and saw the Vulcan do it's thing - really good and noisy ! Then went for a curry with the in laws in Parkestone afterwards.
For Anyone who is interested the Vulcan should be back at Bournemouth today even though it's not scheduled in the paper. |
