All is well with me personally Caterham thanks, but sometimes I look at the bloody Deafener and think I might like to do something terrible to end it's life. Laughing
Only kidding, it's running well and we're off soon for a trip through the NT and back down the WA coast to home. I know it'll go well and have never worried about problems on the road with it.

fantastic.....your feeling towards your truck and mine towards mine are like polar opposites.

have a great time and let me know if you can find any loop holes in the system for getting immigrants into Oz Thumbs Up

the UK has gone down the pan so far as I'm concerned (please note all this is a personal opinion and not something any of us need to start a debate on - apologies if this either upsets or causes disagreement with anyone) Thumbs Up

was going to say have a nice day but I guess you're getting ready for bed?

[quote="Caterham"]I do some times wonder if what my dad keeps saying holds any water so to speak and that I shouldn't jetwash under the bonnet but I keeping saying these things are indestructible. Thumbs Up

yes your dad is right

your defender will give more problems and rot more

think about it this way , your fairly waterproof yourself you can swim underwater but let yourself be jetwashed and see if it enters any of your orifices !

feeling is mutual, that is not in a gay or man / sheep way just a buddy / mate type man thing Thumbs Up

I'm still looking forward to my next trip to the south coast to 'compare notes' Thumbs Up

- you'll hear me coming now with my new sub woofer install !

talking of new threads......

I'm not worried at all about this just an observation / concern. does your water temp stay constant? I though mine was always smack bang on 90. I've now noticed it swings between c86 - 93 which I would kind of expect with thermostat opening / closing etc and temps well within in range but just a little surprised as I thought it always stayed steady?

The water temperature does indeed vary. Please read the following and inwardly digest.....

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AND YOUR COOLANT SYSTEM APPEARS FULLY-FUNCTIONAL AND NORMAL. DO NOT TINKER WITH IT, TOUCH IT, OR EVEN GIVE IT A PASSING GLANCE OR FURTHER THOUGHT.

PUT IT TO THE VERY REAR STORE ROOM OF YOUR MIND. (THE DUSTY BIT WHERE NOBODY GOES) AND FORGET ABOUT IT!

Good to hear you are not falling into the trap of needlessly worrying and bothering others about issues or bits of your Defender that may or may not be waiting to catch you out or fall off Caterham Wink

BTW: I opened my drivers window while my Defender was in motion today and could not help noticing that I could no longer hear the radio clearly. Does this mean there is something wrong with the vehicle or have I just become a deafol'git too? Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

I suspect you either have a faulty hand brake, glass or blockage in the air intake.

On occasion I have a similar intermittent fault which I've yet to nail. If I were you I should investigate all 3 possible causes and hopefully this will lead to other avenues of possible concern which you can investigate. Whichever route you take be sure to swap over a few sensors along the way to help empty your pockets and line Land Rovers - the more sensors you are able to replace the greater the carma effect.

Thumbs Up

good luck - you may need it.

I've found the very best way to continue liking the Deafener is to not open the windows and never ever to wear my hearing aids.
Silence is golden as some one once said.
