Fumes coming in through the blower
Hi Guys,

I have started getting a bad smell of exhaust fumes coming into my cabin through the blower Shocked

Worse this past week in the colder weather. Hauling a heavy load back on the motorway today & SWMBO had window open as it was coming in through the vents even with the blower off

I am guessing I must have a leak & fumes getting sucked in via the blower unit

Changed the turbo/manifold gasket which not helped

Amazes me that theres no gasket between the turbo & cat/down pipe. Need to check the other joints on the system

Some one mentioned injector copper washers which I have a set & not done yet

Anybody else had this issue on a Puma??

Thanks Chris

Not had a problem like this, but there is a thread on the forum about a faulty seal between the air intake on the wing and the heater motor. Worth checking if fumes coming into cab this way, but as you say you need to find the origin of the fumes. A search should show the thread - sorry not much good at links etc.

Not a regular occurrence but have noticed something similar a couple of times...be good to hear what you find. Monsieur Le Grenadier
