At the risk of getting shot down in flames.

Has anyone thought of getting a few cars together so he can have a go in them, it might cure his phobia (s)
Or we can drive his and compare.
It might make a nice day out ? Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires.

[quote="K9F"]DJ,

Interestingly I did know of an individual who rigged up his vehicle circa 1979 with a sealed container and a tap that would feed the fumes from crushed mothballs (napthalene) into his inlet manifold when the tap was opened. Swore blind it increased performance and economy on his Avenger. Probably single handedly responsible for the holes in the ozone layer.....

Bloody Hell
not quite single handedly I had a mate when I was about 18 whom used to put mothballs in his petrol tank and also swore it made his car faster, no where near as fast as my 1380cc mini though DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Rolling with laughter

Exclamation Maybe that's the solution then. Question Exclamation

Caterham get yourself some mothballs (about 300 or so) and stuff them in your tank. What could possibkly go wrong? (That hasn't been touched on or dealt with before?) Rolling with laughter If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

On the quest of better performance / economy I'm considering how cool air aids performance and the results of my reckoning say if I add a few cool mints into the intercooler I may achieve a few more mpg and bhp to boot.

I'd almost forgot about all my previous worries.....perhaps I've been side tracked by my lastest school boy error.....

Wiring up a new feed from my new dash mounted USB direct to the clutch switch which has a dodgy feed at the moment so wanted to run a clean feed direct to it.

Before I forget I was joking about the USB supply to clutch switch.....its the sw live and phono leads running to rear via the chassis.

Keith gutted for you re the dinks - had similar on three occasions......scratches to bulkhead, scratches to the wing tops and dinks.

I hope you have a sweet drive to Heathrow it's not exactly half way but if you feel you need to break the journey up feel free to drop in for a coffee Thumbs Up

Blimey Caterham, I've never seen any Landie of mine that clean under the bonnet. I can't even remember my new Td5 ever being that clean.
That's probably half your trouble.....you don't get into the rough stuff enough. Smile
Cheers.
AlanH.
