Just got back from a week-long trip to the Kgalagadi Transfontier Park. Covered 4000km in 9 days without a single problem, and we were very heavily loaded. In the mornings the temp was -5C

Looks cool Karlos, bet you had a good nights kip in such a sturdy tent! As the weather was so nice did you use your aircon? If the seat of your shorts had got damp from sitting on the grass you could have used your heated seats to dry em out! Did you take your iPod? Sorry Karl couldn't resist....
If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Took delivery of my new wheels and tyres today.
Went for 255/85R16 Cooper Discoverer STs on steel modulars in the new "gunmetal" colour. Only thing I forgot was to ask for the white lettering to be hidden on the inside Oh well, don't look to bad, the silver wheels nuts are a result of them having gone rusty, so not wanting them to make the new wheels look tatty, I hunted round for some black paint but all I could find was silver, plan is to get some more "bling" black ones most probably from HERE Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And whilst I was crawling around on the drive, I fitted my D44 fuel cooler guard: Click image to enlarge Full story on all this HERE And I've just noticed the time (and that the clock on the forum is still on GMT), so this is now WHAT I DID TO MY DEFENDER YESTERDAY  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |

Nice pics Robo, does the rack sit slightly higher than normal to accomodate the table? Also what size rubber you on?

Yes the rack is slighty higher for the table to go under. should be a good compromise for that size of table and to give me more room in the back. I,v gone for 235/85/16,s as i want good mpg and good off rd. Just about ready for the family hanibal roof tent now 2008 110 County utility ex 1988 defender 90 ,td ex 1970 series III |
