Painted the badly stained/faded grill,I used Halfords plastic trim spray, after I wet flatted it first with 1500 grit, quite pleased with the finish, not got the standard textured finish but a smooth satin black finish,I like it.
From this; Click image to enlarge[/img] To this; Click image to enlarge[/img] Gonna get a qoute for powder coating the bumper as it looks (naturally ) tatty.Anybody powder coated their bumper before or give me an idea for how much it gonna cost?? Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. |

Click image to enlarge That does look good , I can see how that now starts to show other parts up now... Rather than powder coating have you considered doing it yourself with some POR15 and a chassis black paint? |

Cheers fella,DIY is "plan B", (still got some Rustoleum left from when I did mi chassis),depending how much the powder coater wants.Would also get a better finish with powder coat, providing they do a better job than the "factory",lol. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Adjusted the steering stop locks. Probably the biggest single ( and cheapest) transformation ever made that alters the usability of the truck. Also Adjusted the tyre pressures down to 29psi at the front and 33psi rear (running 235 Contis on Boosts) as we mostly run unladen- except for the dogs.
Ride is much improved and we can now manouvre in tight spaces with relative ease. Considering spacers to improve turning and stance even further as I don't want to replace the Boosts yet ( recently refurbished under warrenty) for a bigger offset wheel and have lots of tyre tread remaining (so will wait before going to 265s) |
