Becker radio fit
Hi,
can I inquire as to the model of the radio you've fitted to your truck and the fitting - did you have to change the wiring of the vehicle at the back of the dash to fit the new radio?
Does it sound good on the speakers or did you change the speakers aswell?
Would be interested to know

regards
Joe

The radio is the Becker 7941 Cascade Pro, se here fore more details.

for the installation you need Whistle :
1. take the "speed" and "reverse" signals from the dashboard connector, not so difficult.
2. install the GPS and the GSM aerials
3. install the h/f microphone

and

4. I have put the cd charger inside the cubby-box (job done with my previous Becker Radios)

for the sound quality, the original mid and tweeter are good BUT I add an active subwoofer because the sound with the original speakers is absolutely without bass (one problem is the shape of the original installation where there isn't separation from the rear and the front of the loudspeakers)

If you want I have an Becker Traffic pro 4723 (green illumination) for sale

In this image is red (taken from becker site) but mine is green illuminated

Where did you get the thermometer? It suits the landy very well. Only one I have seen in UK is silver and blue unit that won't look right.

I have the Madman EMS system, which monitors EGT, Transfer box oil temp, Coolant temp, Coolant level, oil pressure, and voltage.

Also involved cutting into the dash, but it looks very neat Smile

These posts are giving me ideas (dangerous I know Rolling with laughter )

How much room is behind these side panels?

Just wondering if can fit a unit about 3" long, 1" high and about 2.5" deep. Would that fit in the side panel?

Would be useful to know before I start dismantling things

For a good sound quality IT IS NECESSARY TO INSTALL AN ACTIVE SUBWOOFER (mine is Alpine).

Becker radios have an outstanding sound quality inside, so it is easy to setup the radio for quality listening.

By the way, you must know that my car have a lot of noise killing applications (from me) and the only noise that I'm not able to reduce is the windy turbolences noise (after 120km/h) .......

I love Becker radio, it is perfect machines, and you forget the tomtom, garmin and so on.

The very added value is the goniometer, you can drive without GPS signal and the navi know exactly where you are.... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
