Just sold my 04 reg at 167thou miles. Only engine problems were exhaust manifold, and injector washers. Drive them hard service them regular. That's my advise.

My 2001 TD5 is going strong at 30k miles...
Just the odd starting problem which I think is a bad relay connection. Cheers Simon |

Just over 222,000 miles on my 2004 110.
Engine-wise: Had a new radiator, intercooler, turbo and about three exhaust manifolds and countless injector looms (just a service item as far as I'm concerned). Transmission: Replaced main gearbox and transfer box at 130,000, together with diffs and sundry items. No intention of replacing the 110 any time soon. Dave Green Goddess - 1998 Defender 110 300tdi |

162k on my 2002 110, no real problems just injector washers and seals, fuel pressure regulator, injector loom harness and solonoid valve switches on the abs system. It still is on it's original clutch and battery. Mine is used every day and is used for everything, Defenders seem to prefer to be used and not pussy footed about with, the more work you give them the better they are.

My 2002 TD5 Disco2 has just over 200k miles on it now. Only routine engine parts (eg fuel pressure regulator) have been needed - sofar at least!
