Eventually had a nice day to fit my Defender's Chrimbo Pressies which were
1) a snow cowl, no sign of snow and now its fitted none is probably likely but it seemed better to be on than wait for a dump of it then have to sort it out then. 2) Synthetic winch rope and alloy hawse. Getting the old wire rope and fairlead off was the hardest part , mainly as the fairlead nuts seemed to be a non metric size and super tight/seized. I'll probably re-spool the rope over the weekend as it wasn't as tight as I'd have liked. 2023 110 P400e |

Made the most of the sun and fitted front and rear Anti roll bars The difference is night and day, it is a slightly harder ride but overall ALOT smoother. Might have to take them back off though............. The wife drove it and loved it Can see it being borrowed alot now ............... Still always buy another

Covered a few miles on the motorway and then angrily chased a cat down the road after it was seen getting a warm on my bonnet, unfortunately it left many muddy paw prints and some nasty looking scratches

We are OK - just managed to get through the floods this morning Rain stopped overnight and the farmers did enough clearance work on the drainage ditches to help clear some of the roads. More rain due in overnight but it does not look as bad as expected. Glad we don't live on the coast, predictions for coastal regions in this area are grim to say the least, high tides, strong winds, rain and a coastal surge do not make good reading. Just been watching the local news and all emergency services and responders are at the ready. Good news Bob, hang in there. Hope it eases across the country.
What did I do in my Defender today - nothing but had to live through my daughter borrowing it to impress her friends while they visited the village. Not really a worry though as she knows it'll probably be her inheritance so she feels about it the same way I do. What's the story behind that bowler 90?
Is it just a one-off that someone made? There were rumours of a 'bowler edition' for a while but as far as I know there wasn't 'one released' so is this just a custom defender? Dealers seem to be customing defenders more nowadays . Saw a black 90 with grey bonnet and roof and bucket seats and front half roll cage at guy salmon the other day, approved used I think but inside Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Unfortunatley i don't know the story about that BOWLER defender, as it was 2 in the morning and i was rather drunk running around Mayfair, London.
it must of been for sale, especially for the area of London it was in. Ive just googled the location of the garage it was on Berkley Street It was also a Stratstone garage |
