I'm a step ahead of you there Wink

Put some Velcro tape (the soft half) on the mount and some on the roof itself to protect Smile Cheers, David

I was cheap......Duct tape after it had been repainted. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Just in case you haven't done it already David, tune the unit to the UK frequency band before you go on the forthcoming plains trip. Thumbs Up

I only say that as your piccy of 14th Dec suggests it's was defaulting to the EU band. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Typically (well on my COBRA and INTEK units), it's a hidden menu that you access by holding a menu/mode button down with the power off and then power up the unit.

I suspect it will be one of the first things in your user manual though. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Hi David
I know its getting fussy now, more of a question really. But was there a reason for mounting it on the left each time?
Only reason I ask is I'd of thought you would get it knocked less on the right (away from hedges and overhanging tree's)
Might be an obvious reason you cant, but just seems more protected like the car radio aerial.

Absolutely no reason actually! Think it was just the side with the light when I was doing it maybe? Maybe just facing the house? Haha! Interesting how the human mind works Smile

Hadn't thought about that, think it should be well protected at the back though. Cheers, David

Haha nice honest answer! Wink
Yeah it should be fine, just thought it would protect it more as you do laning and was curious if there was a reason for the left. A friend of mine made a nice mounting off the top spare wheel nut so it cant scuff the paint at all although yours probably gets clearer reception.
Looks a nice compact unit in yours though!

Yeah it's a nice fitting, secured well into the gutter and aerial just screws in when I'm using it...

Really pleased

You can probably see it better here:
