Audio system fuse rating
I am fitting a Focal IBUS20 which includes an ISO loom that allows plug & play installation directly into the LR audio loom (with adaptor).

The manual states that in order to use this method (i.e. drawing the power from the LR audio loom) the general fuse protecting the car stereo must be 20 Amp or above.

Am I correct in thinking that the fuse protecting the stereo in a 2013 Defender is 10 Amps? 2013 Defender 90 HT

Thanks.

Would it be suitable to up-rate this fuse given the above, or would it be better to run a separate supply to the sub? 2013 Defender 90 HT

Mine (an Alpine) has a direct feed from the battery

I personally wouldn't upgrade it if it isn't that rating already. Mine is 15A and it's that rating for a reason mainly to protect the wiring but also the HU.
You'll get a much better audio quality and power transfer direct from the battery anyway.

Yep, I figured as much Thumbs Up

Would it also be better to use the 4v pre out for the subwoofer rather than speaker level?
The Kenwood has some useful functions for tailoring the subwoofer output which wouldn't be available using speaker outs... 2013 Defender 90 HT

Yep, use the pre out RCA connections, much better quality then and easier to fit with less wiring to do. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
