These people are about as nuts as those Arabs in a 4x4. The only difference between them is the landscape they drive there cars around.

Why change your driving style because you have children in the truck...... Or more to the point does 'no children' mean it is acceptable to drive dangerously?

In my eyes the only dumb thing i the fact the tried to traverse a fast flowing river with the current and not up against it. I fully agree with having children in the truck all the time (it is off-roading not challenge/comp).

That's not exactly typical landing where the family might enjoy the experience. There's a massive increase in risk when negotiating crossing a river like that one. Definately not a place for kids. If they were off roading for fun then they could have chosen a route that didn't include the river. Driver must have a responsibility for welfare of all passengers. Obviously not the case in Russia it appears.

I guess it is just me who doesn't risk their own and Land ROvers safety then.

Seriously- If there is risk of damage to my Land Rover or injury to me, I don't do it- I don't need passengers/ kids to make me take it cautiously.

there should be a compulsory watch dvd for dealing with hill climbs, side slopes, flowing water and icey roads.

people watch the camel trophy dvds and think 'yeah, i can do that!' Rolling Eyes
