That's not exactly typical landing where the family might enjoy the experience. There's a massive increase in risk when negotiating crossing a river like that one. Definately not a place for kids. If they were off roading for fun then they could have chosen a route that didn't include the river. Driver must have a responsibility for welfare of all passengers. Obviously not the case in Russia it appears.

I guess it is just me who doesn't risk their own and Land ROvers safety then.
Seriously- If there is risk of damage to my Land Rover or injury to me, I don't do it- I don't need passengers/ kids to make me take it cautiously. Glyn |

My wife is Russian as you all know . She watched it and shook her head " normal behaviour " on and off the road . We have just got back from 6wks driving in Georgia and our life's were almost taken on many occasions . Normal . Luck there was a sunroof .

there should be a compulsory watch dvd for dealing with hill climbs, side slopes, flowing water and icey roads.
people watch the camel trophy dvds and think 'yeah, i can do that!' |
