TD5 dumping PAS Fluid
Mt 02 plate TD5 90 started making a noise when steering turned. This morning found large pool of fluid under drivers front wheel. Checked fluid level, well down but still some in res'. Ran engine and turned wheel, noise still there and remaining fluid seemed to become airated. Topped up res and turned wheel to try to bleed system, airated fluid started pouring from top of fluid res'. Any thoughts? Big Cry Whats broken now ?

Have you looked to see whether the hoses are still attached? Several folks have reported problems (me included) of PAS fluid dumping out due to a loose hose on the PAS pump. Simple fix with an 18mm spanner (although it's a Censored to reach). One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

All sorted. PAS pump gasket failure. New pump from Britparts, OEM. Fitted in no time. Dont believe Haynes, you dont have to remove the fan. Ive got a full width Ali sport intercooler which sets the rad back a bit and I had plenty of room. Recommend loosening all the bolts on the pully before removing the belt, then its easy. Thumbs Up Whats broken now ?
