Have you looked to see whether the hoses are still attached? Several folks have reported problems (me included) of PAS fluid dumping out due to a loose hose on the PAS pump. Simple fix with an 18mm spanner (although it's a

All sorted. PAS pump gasket failure. New pump from Britparts, OEM. Fitted in no time. Dont believe Haynes, you dont have to remove the fan. Ive got a full width Ali sport intercooler which sets the rad back a bit and I had plenty of room. Recommend loosening all the bolts on the pully before removing the belt, then its easy.
