A 'go faster' dent which came as a result of squeezing between a gap between trees, which apparently was a very similar width to that of my car Sad

For those interested in the light produced by the LED fog/driving lamps...

The pics don't really give a great impression of just how wide & even the led beam is... It shows you new wildlife on country lanes! Well worth the Ł70/80 odd I payed

Yeah seen it around. Also seen noise killer kits - interesting since they come cut to size for your vehicle. Could always buy some dynamite to add to large areas where thickness isn't an issue?

I just know I wouldn't have the patience to cut up the dynamat to the little pieces required in some tricky spots... Cheers, David

The Ł600 for the dent is actually pretty reasonable in my experience. It's in a bast**d of a place, and at the end of the day you want it to look right Confused An engine to TDi for!

Oh ok, I'll have a look around then. Nope not had chance to sort the hiss yet, that's another job! (Do they ever end?!) Cheers, David

Yeah I suppose, didn't think it was that bad a place - it's only over one panel and access to the inside is good.

Where can I get a good paint colour match from? Halfords always seem 'iffy' as they measure them by hand with a little pot but maybe I'm bring picky... Cheers, David

Where was that quote from if you don't mind me asking?

With regards to paint, I always get mine (and we get all of our stuff at work) from a company called AMD Paints & Parts over here in Ellesmere Port. Fantastic service and never had a quality issue at all Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

that was from Swansway accident repair, crewe - IMO they were taking advantage of the fact that they are audi/vw's "approved" bodywork shop.

ill have a look, thanks for the tip. were you thinking they could do the repair or just supply the paint? Cheers, David

AMD would just generally supply the paint. However, I would recommend a company called SprayTone near Chester. I would perhaps give them a quick call and see what the price difference is like. They know what they're doing with Land Rovers, and the Managing Director is big into anything LR related Laughing Might be worth a quick call! An engine to TDi for!

Ł600 is massively more than I would expect to pay to have that damage repaired! Especially considering looking at it, it appears as though a paintless repair may be possible?

Shop around a bit more!

I'll have a look into them, then. Thanks for the advice. May have a go myself though, worst case I have to get it redone professionally which probs wouldn't cost any more! Cheers, David
