I got my whole Defender sprayed for less than that! In fact, I could nearly have had it done twice for that much (Done by the aforementioned SprayTone) An engine to TDi for! "Land Rover- Proudly turning drivers into mechanics since 1948" |

I may be wrong but I think that because aluminium bends when it dents and so damages the paint and leaves a wobbly finish? Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Been a busy time recently: lots of car work, gold DofE in the lakes, A2 results this morning etc so heres my first update in a while:
- First bit: Sort out rear crossmember. Sanded lightly, primed and sprayed with a nice few coats of gloss black. Looked like this before Click image to enlarge Masked off Click image to enlarge After spraying Click image to enlarge End Result (v Pleased!) Click image to enlarge Next Bit: Sort out my 'go faster/character dent' ( ) Filler & sanding (forgot to take pics until this stage) (My uncle restores cars and makes appearance here!) Click image to enlarge Primer Click image to enlarge Spraying (thats a hairdyer not the aerosol) Click image to enlarge Finished result, very pleased - just needs polishing a lot now! Click image to enlarge Next Bit: Try out newly fabricated ramps. The bars in middle adjust to fit my 110 and also dads Amazon (appropriately named, its about as wide as the Amazon river!) Gives about +2ft clearance, perfect for the undersealing im going to do soon! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge F**king scary being underneath them but they are very sturdy indeed, takes 2-3 people to move each half! Enjoy! Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

some of you may have seen my other posts, but basically since i picked up some (sediment) contaminated fuel have had terrible trouble.
Changed fuel filters twice (most recently to gen LR part just in case), had lots of injector cleaner in, emptied and refilled tank, bled(isn?) system to no avail. this was the end result of todays work: Click image to enlarge AA man was lovely, and the truck was a fair old piece of kit! car's been recovered to the garage, hopefully will have some news tomorrow. Also my Ultra-Gauge arrived, will set it up once car is mended! Get it taken to a specialist. I took a disel to a specialist and he got a oscilloscope out to measure not only there was a signal from the sensors but also what the wave form looked like. Blew my frikking mind.
Hope your back on the road soon. |

Excellent post and really enjoyed reading it - apart from the diesel issue of course. Those ramps are amazing. Cheers,

Yeah ramps are great thanks,
Can sit underneath with headroom to spare - halfway through waxoyling and servicing ATM, made the jobs a breeze! (Engine oil still came squirting out at a million mph though! Messy!) Will let you know re: fuel problems when I know Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

David, something's just occurred to me regarding the fuel problem.. It wasn't Bio-Diesel was it? Or anything labeled as B20 or above? An engine to TDi for!
