United Kingdom 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Cairns Blue
Having ticked off a few job off the list for the annual expedition with the caravan I started to wonder what I could do fill in a couple of hours. Tripping over an old set of Disco rubber mats I suddenly had an idea would they fit the 110, yes they did so I set about cleaning them giving them a good old polish. Now that my hand were covered in some Mer product I set about polishing the tyres.

I must be mad or contracted some dreadful disease. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Wired in my Day Light Running Lights with out blowing up the wagon ... and they actually work!! Thumbs Up
Thats got to be a first for me as I always manage to blow at least one fuse normally!! (last time was when changing an interior light bulb!) Embarassed

Mind you - I did the job 3 times as I thought that I had bypassed the on/off unit as the lights stayed on after I tuned off the ignition ..... only after looking at the how to do it notes for the 3rd time did I see the little phrase ..'lights stays on for about a min after turning off so as you can see down the garden path' ...!!' Whistle Rolling with laughter

fab bit of kit !! Thumbs Up Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html

Hi William
Brill! Well done to you sir! Bow down
Mine stay on all the time, but dim when the side lights come on so as not to dazzle - but as I've got large LR spots I kinda think that having the lights full on main beam are probably not needed ... Cool
Mind you they are looking at doing fog lights in the same style so may go for them next as we live on in the cost and have more than our share of pea soup! Very Happy

Collected and fitted a 1x2m sheet of ally treadplate to my roof rack, much more useable now, just got radius the corners before I cut myself.

Replaced rubber trim on the back door....no longer let's the rain in and doesn't flap about whilst driving.

Tempted to do front doors next as they seem to leak more than they stop but isn't that part of the character. Defender 90 - Tomb Raider LE
Discovery 5 HSE - yes, even despite the ugly backend.
Range Rover 4.2SC - Gone and still being missed
