Congratulations on your new purchase
![]() The ecu depends on the market I think, it doesn't swap sides when the steering wheel does. Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |

Plenty of threads on here regarding Td5 missfire etc, when you do find the ecu under the right hand seat disconnect the red plug and check for oil contamination in there. This is very common and is easily sorted with a new injector wiring harness.Let us know how you get on and welcome to the joys of Defender ownership. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Hi
As well as oil in ecu, performance issue could be due to your MAF sensor failing or the wastegate actuator arm sticking. Yes you can get a remap on the older ecu - I have a 99my and got it done ![]() Enjoy the Defender! |

Try disconnecting the plug from the maf sensor and go for a drive if it improves significantly that is probably your problem. 2005 Td5 90 XS
