I saw my old one the other day covered in mud with dogs in the back Ah well it will last years and is being used for something more suitable than the school run!

My Defender mainly passed its MOT today. With 4 advisories
1. OSF seatbelt starting to fluff 2. slight movement in rear seat backs 3. slight corrosion to front and rear metal brake pipes 4. slight play in top of steering column 5. front wiper arm linkage worn 166649 miles old or a 1999 model 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I've just replaced the wiper motor and two wheel boxes on mine and the difference is unbelievable. If you've had an advisory on it in my opinion it's £150 well spent

Is the wiper arm linkage not replaceable on its own? I've not looked into fixing.
What are the two wheel boxes? 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I think the linkages can be replaced on their own... but I may be wrong!

I've got 2 wheel boxes for a 1999 defender just sitting in my workshop. I sold the 1999 a couple of years ago and the 2005 is a different fit. Yours for the cost of postage. Let me know. 2005 110 TD5 XS running Alive Stage 1 and a bit and other toys

excossack, In case its of any help, ive just nipped into my garage to take some pictures of my spare 300tdi bulkhead for you. Heres a close up of the wiper wheels/spindles on the inside. They just unbolt from the outside by the single nut at the base of the wiper arm. I assume they are the same for the puma?...
