Survey - Negative effects after a Puma TDCi is mapped?
Have you had any negative effects to a remap?

For example, have you had exhaust manifolds cracking, heat build up or any other negative effects?

Thank you

Not on the Puma.

I had the exhaust manifold warp on my Disco2 Td5 after I got it remapped, but that was a common issue on the Td5. --

Nice, I'm sure you won't regret it. Gary knows what he's doing. Combined with your bigger intercooler, your landy will run like bomb! Thumbs Up --

Problems......?........keeping my right foot of the accelerator Wink

None so far.

My car just started to use water 4 months after my remap and I was stressed as hell.

After multiple compression tests and coolant contamination tests by the dealers I was reasured that it was only my header tank cap that was leaking. A new tank and cap and 10 000km later my car has not used a drop of coolant again. So I think it is safe to say it was completely coinsidental.

Has anyone noticed if their ( don't laugh ) injectors seem noisy after a remap. Well I think it's injector noise. I have always presumed its down to the quality of fuel needing to be higher after a remap, but I would love someone to correct me as I really don't know. I guess I ought to treat it to a tank full of BP Ultimate or similar to find out.
As always your wisdom would be appreciated.

As far as problems go I expect more tyre wear & brake wear would be about all you'd expect and maybe chutches too. Other than that. I don't think in standard tune they are exactly slow anyway.. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Extra noise maybe due to increased injector pressure, mine did the same. However @ coke full of 2SO per tank the engine is quieter and smoother pre remap. Thumbs Up

Yep, there is a bit of extra noise, but that's normal. 2SO definitely quietens things down --
