went to meet family for lunch about 50 miles away and had a good run both ways. the stiffer rear ARB is fantastic when you want to change from pootle to a 'more positive' driving style, it is so good around the curves now..
even thought, for about a nano second, whether i could keep up with the Lambo in front of me !! BM52 |

Yesterday, finally finished my bulkhead/dog guard by covering the lower part with carpet. I'm really pleased with the result - nice and strong to keep stuff in the back where it belongs, flexible in that I can remove the top part only if I ever need to and now looks the part too:
Click image to enlarge Today, had a wander around Sodbury. Picked up some NAS lights to fit to my wide track and a new heated rear window to replace the the duff existing one. The latter is a new take-off, so has the revised heater element. Just got to get it fitted now. I might just take it to Autoglass Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Not a lot really, hovered the back out and refitted to dog guard! If you have one fitted don't remove it.... It's a right buggeer to get back in Russell

Hardly been using it since it was put up for sale... Filled it up on the 22nd and still got a third of a tank left! Usually I go through a tank in less than a week!
Getting quite despondent though, not had one phone call about it since I put it in the Auto Trader! Only been in a week so far, but thought I'd have at least one call. It's eBays turn to hate me now though, won't upload any pictures! |

Yesterday, Went to Weeton Army Barracks for the Heroes stages rally and was doing recovery.
One straight tow of a Focus with a knacked gearbox Front suspended tow of a MK2 Escort than had gone sideways into tree and knackered some of the suspension. Due to the rather heavy rain the event was cut short, I think it ran 8 out of 12 stages. Some parts of the stage was 2" deep in water 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Picked the Hulk up saturday and got rid of the hire trailer this morning so heres the first pic of it at its new home sat on my drive next to my DC Snotty
Yes I know it has a bit of a lean due to putting 7.50 tyres on one side to squeeze it on the trailer! be putting the simexs you can see in the back on later! Far as I can see, it needs a new door top, new locks in the doors, both winches reconnecting up, a spare simex and rim and two new winch ropes as front one is missing and rear one has a knot in it. then send it off for a MOT and tax it Its had magnetic plugs everywhere and new cam belt and new rad with intercooler and engine looks mint as does gear box so its looking rather well looked after! How do I find out whether its got a Detroit LSD fitted in the rear salisbury axle? Well I've fitted the Leather bits from Go Beyond and replaced all the external fixings with Stainless ones acquired from Brendan.
I'll post some pictures later when I can get to the PC _______________________________ Puma Defender 90 |
