Fitted the last Entreq door thresh (after a year with only three) and discovered a 1cm gap between the middle row seat box and the side member, where water was getting in (the 1/2cm sponge gasket wasn't exactly adequate). Since there is no gap at all on the other side, I guess it's just LR's legendary build quality again

Drove home from work (30km city and autobahn) actually keeping to the speed limit, rolling up to traffic and down hills (instead of braking last minute) and simply taking it easy in higher gears. Used the Scangauge as a reminder not to get impatient.
Averaged 32 mpg Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I just placed a large (for me ) order with Brandan for a gas strut, and some rather pricey Entreq checker plate items...pics to follow once fitted Being a tight Yorkshireman living in Scotland it's always hard to part with cash
The Defender's loaded up just now - with 135 miles to drive later tonight with a fully loaded Defender (incl roof rack) and Trailer load of logs and slabs... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I had a craving for an old station wagon. Stage 1's aren't really practical and making silly money. I have a soft spot for late '80s 110 county's, have had several but always with a 3.9 EFI in them. Fancied a tdi this time and prefer a 200 with lt77 (just do!) so ideally after an h plate 110 Defender county in Eastnor that was unmolested.
A j plate in blue came locally so that will do for now! |

Didn't do much in it today, but placed a nice order with Mobilecentre You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
