Brazil 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Zermatt Silver
new sound and vision
I have a Kenwood din1 retractble DVD with 7 inch touchscreen conected to Garmin GPS module, plus bluetooth and USB and a Reverse camera that makes my manouvres in the dark garage a lot easier.
A second screen at the roof for the second row passengers ( my little daughter in fact).
I can navigate using the GPS or othr features in the main screen while the second one plays movies.
I am very happy with this solution. No more cables and plugs everywhere.
Thumbs Up

Sorry for dragging up this old thread looking at getting a parrot asteroid for my 90. Just a couple of questions about them. Would people who have experience with them recommend them!? I really only want it for the Bluetooth car kit and playing music from my I phone or sd card.

Can you actually be heard on the car kit with the general noise in the defender!? Where do people mount the funky looking speaker!?

Last question I read a lot of people getting them installed are they not something you can do yourself!?

Sorry for all the questions have found all I could find on the web and just wanted to ask people who actually have the unit.

Cheers

Geoff

Best head unit I've ever had
Dead easy to fit all plugs straight swap
Just have to run mic up behind dash then up behind windscreen trim and stick in top right corner of windscreen
Gps stuck to top of dash behind air vent
Dongle and 3.5m aux plugs run to passenger shelf
Brought a T mobile dongle for £30 and got 3 months unlimited use then it's pay as u go
Few start up problems no sound not linking to iPhone but all fixed with with unplugging front and reinstalling front each time
But I've now installed updated software which I was told to do straight away and it seems to have cured all these problems
Deff DIY install if you've got a little time It's good to be back from the dark side

Not a clue what you're on about the speaker???? Unless you're on about the microphone for the phone? Auxilliary cables I ran into the Nakatanenga glovebox I fitted which is ideal!

Sorry yeah meant microphone. Have people bothered installing the aerial for gps!? I have a mac I read it's near impossible to update them on it, is that true!? I read alot of bad reviews online good to hear there is some good ones too. How long is the asteroid out!? Don't want to get it if a new one is due out shortly!

Cheers

I had mine replaced twice in a month due to them locking up and not working at all. Parrot didn't know what the problem was so just kept offering to replace the unit.

I gave up, got my money back and bought a Kenwood. John
