Hey Zag, that one's a different colour to the one you posted the other day. Different boat or has it just been painted? Darren

I need to ask you about this. You say you got around £23K for the 110 and you say there is some equity in the boat - hence you got your £28K back but if the boat is so easily worth £28K how come you got it for £23K? |

My guess is;
As previously stated, the previous owners needed to get shot of it quick to make room for their new boat so were willing to take a hit ![]() Vs the cost of additional moorings to store it if they ended up with 2 boat on their hands. I suppose it's a bit like a cash buyer buying a house that's needs to go before a bank forcloses! A little less money is better than no money. Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

Just haggling as usual - i enjoy it and do well our of it, buying and selling is fun although the Defender was the only car I got stuck with ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The boat was a trade in for a new 90K Crabber. Crabber were advertising mine for £32750 (I put a link to the advert somewhere! May still be on the Crabber brokerage site!) but it's worth 28K and Crabber said that's what it owes them. They didn't discount the new Crabber so they had some lee-way. I got them down to 25K after a while then 24.5K then a final crazy last ditch offer of 23.5K that paid off ![]() E.G. OK my final offer is £5 or make my mind up for me on £5 or my last offer is £5 and I'll leave it in the lap of the gods.... They don't know you are bluffing, you can always come back if they say it's to low and pay more ![]() Crabber are also getting value from me as I am getting their Crabber club going and have given them marketing ideas so they realise the value of having me on-board and getting some rallys/meets etc organised - they're not silly It's the best and cheapest advertising out - it was a good deal for both sides. ![]() Yes still up on the site. She is the 1997 one at £32,750 priced according to the thousands spent on her last year - BARGAIN for 23.5K ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.cornishcrabbers.co.uk/index.cfm/boat/Brokerage.Home Last edited by Zagato on 18th Jul 2012 4:10pm. I'm crap at haggling
![]() When you've been on the receiving end of it for years, it can be annoying, so I wouldn't usually do it. When I do get it, I'm very grateful ![]() However I was just cheeky and got a grand knocked off a caravan ![]() |
