So we made it through the winter.......
So far I have undercoated it, put in some rubber matting in the load bay and put in a new stereo that I still can't hear. Project for this weekend: I am taking the old snow tires off and am going to sandblast the rims then paint them semi gloss with POR15. After the rims are painted I am going to install these! 235/85 R16 (current snows are...215) ![]() White lettering inside or out??? thoughts? I tell you what, if That brown had been an option on the MY07 I'd have taken it. Brilliant. As for letters on the outside, each to their own, but it's a bit too Nissan Patrol for me. Understated every time. Glad you've gone for 235/85s. |

Seb,
Apparently it is a factory paint job done for the Geneva auto show in 1984. I love it, but it is a bit over the top! Ill post pics when I am done blasting the wheels. Cheers Tim Series II in pieces 1984 Defender 110 (3.5l V8 now 300TDI) |

The actual name of the colour is Roan Brown and it was available on late series 3 and early 110 county between 1982 and 1984. http://www.flickr.com/photos/homer----simpson/4158406824/ Richard Either a 90, 110 or 130. Discovery 5 |

Everyone had me thinking inside was the way to go but you do make a good argument about the era.... 2 1/2 rims now blasted. At least I am over halfway. Tim Series II in pieces 1984 Defender 110 (3.5l V8 now 300TDI) |
