I think we should have a raised blood pressure thread after today's chasing my insurance claim.

ok so here goes ... this w/e's jobs ... nothing will get done because it will either be (1) too cold (2) rain (3) snow ...
I want to finish fuse box on 110, check door pillar/roof bolts and fit an accelerator cable to the 300/tdi .. if the weather is kind, I'll probably bash my knuckles and it will go pear shaped |

I thought there was a Salibury Plain trip on this weekend but must have got the dates wrong and will have to work now anyway as I have spent to long doing up the boat
Took 2 days rubbing all the boat woodwork down and half way through putting 7 coats of oil/varnish on with 24 hr drying time in between - GRUMP! But got my new wndows in Just need to finish sorting the mess the previous owner made - some people should just not do DIY - GRUMP! Trying to get her done in next two weeks for a trial sail for a five day sail/rally in May Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Don't know much about boats but I'd fix that big hole in the back - it might help buoyancy perhaps ?

don't know too much about boats but that hole should be there, as you can see its been deliberately cut out and I can only assume its for ballast - is the bottom half of the hull the ballast tank?

It started life as an outboard boat then an inboard was put in so the well hole was covered over. The last owner went back to an outboard so re-cut the well badly I am half-way to sorting it out, one more layer of filler and sanding should make a neater job Then it's time to paint the hull and she is ready to go She is a well travelled boat used to sail from Scotland to France each year but I am planning to go over to the Isle of Wight for her maiden voyage... to test everything out! |

Mine's watertight - once the water gets in it can't get out... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
