That's kind Zag and I appreciate the offer but I rarely dare leave dry land these days Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

The selfish pr!ck who decided to ruin the Boat Race yesterday! Really wound me up - those athletes have done nothing to deserve the disruption by that guy! In my eyes they shouldn't have stopped and just ran the over with the flotilla of launches behind.

Same as Littlehampton, waited 20 minutes in a que bursting then only when you get in do you realise it costs 20p, go back to car to get money, return to que and stand in a puddle of pee as everyone else has done the same thing and some couldn't hold on Finally get in have a crap, can't get the bog roll out of the holder because the paper has torn off inside, PANIC, kick the bloody thing off the wall and jump up and down on it whilst your trousers are around your ankles, retrieve paper and what a relief Walk outside to shocked looks from the dry repositioned que wondering what all the commotion was |

Brakes
Trying to sort the brakes on my trailer, now I can't get the bloody hub back on I have replaced the front hub bearings and left the old rear ones as I can't get hold of them at the moment and have given up on the brakes and taken them out altogether (brakes and me just don't get on! :rant). So rear bearings back on, put on hub and push front bearings on but the hub waggles about. The front bearings don't seem to want to go back any further by hand and I don't want to hit them in place, they go on very easily without the hub and have a definite stop. The trailer place is now shut for advice... I know it's illegal no to have brakes - it's a twin axle so will just have brakes on one axle, he Defender will handle that OK. I'm up against £50 an hour and over one hundred for new brakes on one wheel :shakinghead so trying to safe money!! Advice very welcome! EDIT NOW SORTED Probably cheaper to buy a new axle |

Random rant:
Why is it when I ask for a white coffee at certain outlets, I am often told that they cannot provide me with a white coffee but that they could do a black coffee with milk? The ghost of Victor Meldrew and the spirit of Terry Wogan are screaming in sympathy. 1970 Series 2A 88" |

French vs English roads.
Why can the French build smooth roads and keep them maintained while our roads are broken up and dreadfully lumpy. BM52 |
