BPman, the Entreq fuel cooler guard, did you buy the version with, or without stabilizer? Could you install it yourself easily, or is the a job for Autobritt here? Tks, Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

to get the rear wiper to run delayed - I used the front wiper relay when I replaced it with the programmable variable relay for the front wipers ... does that make sense ? |

Ahhh yes. Thought about doing it for ages, was it a complicated job? I'm not into ripping the new defender to bits just yet. Thanks Ravers |

to install the front wiper delay relay is easy, but the rear relay needs a few wire changes, do a search on the forum for more details. dgardel is the wiring king ! |

![]() For normal intermittence (using the OLD front Land Rover relay) VERY EASY MOD!!!! Have you a standard/original Land Rover wiper ECU in your hand? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The green-white cable of position 6 of the base must be put on position 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() Test it.............................. ..............job done FOR A MORE REFINED SOLUTION, Thank you to BarneyRubble for adding the VW variable timer to the rear wiper download here the BarneyRubble pdf Works like the front - press the switch, let it wipe, switch it off, wait until you want it to wipe again, switch it on, and leave it - the wipers operate on intermit at the time you left between switching off and back on again. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition ![]() IID Pro MV License Last edited by dgardel on 23rd Feb 2012 10:26am. It's an interesting mod (just up my street) but I hardly ever use the rear wiper anyway - not much point, since the security grill makes the window redundant

Why use the extra black wire? Is the green/white one too short or can't you fish the connector out of the block? Sorry if that's a stupid question ![]() Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Moving the cable on the new position you need to change the pin (it is smaller).
I build the black one for do not modify the original harness Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition ![]() IID Pro MV License |
