what is the general consensus on these replacement lights, then?

the bulbs with 6-16 leds within the bulb length are good, but the ones with a wire to a 48 panel is a bit more of a faff to fit?

cheers Thumbs Up

I just received some 16 LED ones from Ebay and while they are nice and bright, the bulb part is a little shorter than ideal for the clips and so is slightly loose. I couldn't find out what length the bulbs should be and guessed at 36mm. I will order up a 38mm version and see if it fits more snugly.

I did have a go, but they are very springy and I didn't want to bend them too much in case I want to revert back to the standard. Maybe it is being a little precious, but for another £2, I thought I'd get the right size.

37mm 16 LED's fitted fine in mine OK, if anything they were too tight Thumbs Up

The retainers bend OK so you will not have an issue going back to the original, they are spring brass/steel ?

Light is excellent.

my 48ers arrived yesterday (after what seemed an eternity) fitted them late last night in the dark using just the illumination from the other interior light. got luck with polarity and shorting issues.

they provide a clear white light and not too bright imo, however aestetically they are less than pleasing witht eh 48 points of light glaring throught the fitting. they would have been better if they had been diffused more.

i bought 4 so that i would have spares and i am now thinking of piggybacking 2 together for the rear interior light in my 90.

we have young twins and getting them in and out of the baby seats is a nightmare in poor light with their little arms and legs flailing about.

Stuck some in mine today, a 6 led in the front, another 6 led above the 2nd row seats(put another OEM interior light in months ago) and a 48 led in the back light. Looks the business, just got to wait for dark now. For the sake of £4.28 it seems to be worth doing Thumbs Up

Didn't do this myself but a piece of insulation tape on the metal back plate might avoid inadvertant contact (maybe not such a good idea if you put the original bulb back in due to the heat from the bulb).

Thanks to Carls' tip, I finally managed to fit my 48 LED lights today without blowing any more fuses Rolling Eyes

Here's a picture showing the difference between the old and new. It's quite difficult to photgraph the LED lights - in reality, the individual LEDs are more clearly defined.

They're nice and bright, although it does feel a bit like sitting in a fish tank at night Laughing Darren

Same here with mine. 16 led in front and the 48 in back makes a big difference over the standard bulbs. Thumbs Up

I dont like the look of small patch of LEDs in the middle of the light lense, so Im going to double up mine too. If you fit them a particular way round, two will fit nicely together.

Will be nice and bright..

I had to order 3 more as the one of the first two that came had two LEDs that didnt work on the board Current:D4 HSE
