Just build yourself a garden pergola/carport in your parking spot incorporating a strong enough cross beam to hoist the tent off. Train a few climbers up it(perhaps even have Bear Grylls camped on top)

Gives you a garden feature with a purpose Whistle

Just use a pulley it's only 55KG Wink

Or get this easy load system, can put a winch on if you need it but you won't with only 55KG

http://www.karitek.co.uk/ELRRIntroMulti.html

Seen these used for a number of applications .e.g tenders, dinghys etc Wink

I must admit if I had the space I would build a strong pergola, plenty big enough to park under and put a polycarbonate roof on it. The roof wouldn't be on top of he structure but the sheets would be inset between the rafters and thus not noticable but allow a dry area underneath. A few climbing plants would then allow it to blend into the background, might even have a pit dug out as well Whistle Though if I had the type of place where I could do this then there would be a building put up as a workshop anyway with all the bells and whistles Rolling Eyes

Steve

Check out www.roofbox.co.uk for the Thule roof box hoist. Only £50 so seems a simple and cheap solution.

today I collected a giant TP swing frame from a bay-merchant in Poole. "eBay search TP Swing".

Once taken apart, popped onto the roof of the defender and brought home.

This measures 2m5 high. Too flippin cold to do any more today.

Tomorrow ... take swings etc off the top and fit hoist and some photos then off flying with the boys Thumbs Up
