Much to my surprise, mine arrived today. I thought they'd take much longer. Anyway, will fit on Friday (day off) and report back. Darren

Well, that was a minor disaster. Every time I fitted one of these 48 led units, it blew the 10 amp fuse on the circuit. It was the same story with both of the units that I've bought and in both interior lights. I tried various combinations in case one component was faulty until I ran out of spare fuses. The original bulbs are now back in and working fine Confused

I'll have to have a play with them on a separate power supply to see if I can figure out what's wrong. Darren

Fitted mine today and blew a couple of fuses along the way. One side of the bulb holder (the stiffer looking end) remains live permanently and if you push the bulb in too far so that it pops out of the hole (easier to do with the slightly flexible spring adapter than with the original bulb) it shorts the live connector in the light fitting to the metal plate above which is earthed - blowing the fuse.

Didn't do this myself but a piece of insulation tape on the metal back plate might avoid inadvertant contact (maybe not such a good idea if you put the original bulb back in due to the heat from the bulb).

Did you try them both ways round? LED's are directional so require the +ve to the right side - the red from the LED's should be to the contact away from the switch on the interior light

I fitted some LED lights last summer, they where very cheap and seem really decent quality considering the price.
