Could not agree more Pam, a remap widens the rev range, but also makes it so much quieter. A good side effect that I did not expect. Get it too Gary quick Andy Last edited by landy andy on 21st Jan 2012 10:47pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I found 300:1 is the magic number for the TD5. I normally put in 165ml for a 50 litre fill up. Pete. |

Just took it for a drive and that rattle/tizzing noise from behind the dash has....not gone oh well the down pipe definitely needed changing. 2 stroke oil here too, about a cup full (250ml) dont forget to wash the tea cup after good for your fuel pump, injectors. Steve |

With everyone polishing their trucks soo much, I felt the need to equalise the balance and get mine dirty!!
Had a few hours spare between breakfast and Sunday dinner so went for a short explore and found this: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Followed shortly by this rutted gloopy tunnel under the islands main motorway!! Just before going into it the missus said "If you get us stuck I am not walking anywhere!!"... Low range, diff lock and a bit of grunt was needed just to be sure Click image to enlarge Glyn :sheep: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Nothing exotic
Fixed the FIVE water leaks in the battery compartment . One gromit missing, 3 corner sections had panel gaps about 1/8" wide by 1" long and the best for last, a 1" by 1/2" gap in the front corner by the gearbox tunnel. Oh - ordered more Dum Dum (I wonder why !), new headlamp bulbs and Wipac Crystal lights. Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |
