Looking on his website he does offer competition spec cages, with a variety of tubes... including..CDS

One option on a challenge sec.. was.

The standard frame is made from 48.4mm 3.2mm wall thickness BS1387 tube, known as blue band. We also offer the same kit in CDS 50mm x 2.6mm tube.

then " They can be built to the highest standard of the ALRC regulations which means that you will be able to compete in any competition.

So it would be good if he can quote on the CDS steel? for comparison

So all in all comparing the same CDS steel and modification to the cage to sit closer...

Total £3876 Inc for the Safety device one?

Whitbread £2472 inc

£1400 difference, are we missing anything obvious?

Bumping a very old thread, did this group buy ever go ahead? Or did anyone ever buy one of the Whitbread cages re-designed to sit closer to the body off their own back? Interested to hear feedback. Cheers!
