I have a feeling Mud U.K. do some solutions you might be looking for, I seem to remember they did. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸

They do, but I probably need to speak to them as it's not very clear on the website. I was hoping someone on here has trodden this path before. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I believe BarbelJim on here has in the locations you suggest, I’m not sure when he was last on here though.
I know what you mean regard listings with scant details, it’s a bit difficult to buy something without knowing exactly what it is. I seem to remember I saw the same ones on there as you have and thought the same that there wasn’t much info on them. Except for a basic picture and price. If I remember rightly it depends on the tub type, as a HT and SW rear tub is different, the SW has a step down which the plastics or fibreglass has to match. This is presuming the lower locations in the rear. You could take a look at La Salle too. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Mud do a replacement panel that takes 5" speakers but it's not suitable for a stepped tub. They suggest that their 5" speaker spacers can be used on the OE speaker panel, but it isn't clear how well they fit or if any trimming is still needed.
There also the Masai speaker housing that go up by the rood, but that then leaves me with 2 holes where the speakers originally were. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I have fitted 6in. speakers to the rear of mine. I dremelled out the inner step of the recess in the factory molding, drilled holes for the screws and it all fitted in nicely. Looks quite standard, works well, was quite simple to do. No spacers.

A few pics in this thread of panel mod and 5" speakers fitted.
Easy work with a dremel. https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic53232-15.html |

Yep, the post on the linked thread showing the panel trimming is pretty much what I did but through the whole aperture. The speakers I used were not as deep as some shown. That, of course, will make a difference to fitting. And probably sound quality. But it is a Deafener.

I’m still about but the puma is long gone. I trimmed the rear panel as shown in the link. It’s easy, just measure twice cut once ![]() And the homemade mdf boxes are still going well in the back of my td5 |
