Neglected for too long
So having not done anything with the 110 in a while I got a sudden bust of motivation, picture heavy but I don't post often Laughing

1. Having put the dash back in several weeks ago (been out for 1 1/2 years after replacing wiper spindles... took the opportunity to action a few leak points) fitted a new head unit as old double din was no longer software supported. Wireless Android auto is nice to have

2. Refitted drivers door card, silent coat and 5mm CSF to the door skin and to the inside of the door card. Overkill maybe but sounds sooooo dead now.

3. Gave it good clean in and out

Next

Sidesteps looking ropey but solid, may rub them down and paint

Rear cross member faded again...may go Gloss this time

Frames for rear most seats fairly scratched up(it does get used as a work horse) will look at how hard to get them out to paint

Have a set of Far Corners rear seat brackets to fit (supposed to recline the seats a little for kids comfort)

Have "mis-placed" 4 of the large dash screws, the ones that secure the binnacle top, centre console and "glove box" lid, Does anyone have a link to these or some going spare?

Seats are from an Evoque, very comfy, look good, electrics a nice touch but they are very high so not for everyone.

Still need to track down 4 of these screws...

This is LR you are talking about, you pay for the packet, packaging and logo not the produce / product.

The Front seats look nice, but how do you gain access to the batteries, relays, and fuses in the seat box? No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy

Hi,

Its just 4 bolts, takes 2min. Not as convenient as a pull out base but in reality I have "HAD" to get the under seat area twice in about 8 years.

A set of Anderson connectors would solve both those instances just never bothered.

The dust caps you can get for Anderson connectors are good, they might not be quite IP68 waterproofing, but enough to be very resilient to general dust and wet.
I have a couple of them in a 50/50 exposed area to the elements and they have been trouble free since installation, they are great to disconnect from for say front mounted lights as they can carry very good current but also easy to disconnect.
Even the pins are tinned inside so have very good longevity possibilities and less voltage drop for higher current applications.
So much better than say pre insulated spade connectors taped up, and Superseals are good but very limited to their current capacity, even uprated ones still are relatively low. Very Happy $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

AMP Superseal connectors are rated at 14A continuous per contact, which isn't particularly low. You would be ill-advised to plug/unplug them under load (especially with a DC load) but there are relatively few electrical items on most classic Defenders which use more than 168W.
