They are excellent for some things that’s for sure, and easy to disconnect.

When I used the Anderson connectors I used the boots with them as well and 6mm2 cable I believe so there was a tight fit on the cable exits, on the butt joint between the boots I used adhesive electrical tape around that in a neat tight wrap with a tear off tab if needed for disconnection which makes it easier.
And I put on some of the captive Anderson dust caps, so they are there if needed if disconnected.
This is for the 50A red ones, there are much higher rated ones with pull handles etc as well, I’m unsure if there are boots for them though, I expect there is from the same manufacturer.

I was toying with putting a fin on the back of the roof but the rack doesn't comply... Then neither does it with the roof tent so always on the lookout for a Patriot/ Hannibal type.
