Looking fantastic.
She will be better than when she left the factory. And all the care and time you have put into the preparation will pay off in terms of long term protection against the elements. |

Thanks for the comments.
The original engine (FORD Taunus V4) needed boring out from a 1.5 so it's was a good excuse to bore it out to 1740cc, new pistons etc and a larger carb. It should now kick out a whopping 100hp from 65 ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge Rare inlet manifold being ported. ![]() Click image to enlarge Juicy bits ![]() Click image to enlarge New bits... larger pistons. ![]() Click image to enlarge Last edited by Zagato on 30th Jun 2024 4:55pm. I remember going with my late grandad in 1971 to collect his brand new Saab 96, from JCT600 near Yeadon in Leeds. I was age 6. It was white, with green velour interior. I can remember being fascinated by the way the bonnet opened, and column change gears! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

My engine is also finally being built. It's gone from the standard Ford Taunus V4 1500cc with 65BHP to 1740cc with 100bhp which was the first works SAAB rally oversize bore size.
