Looking fantastic.
She will be better than when she left the factory.
And all the care and time you have put into the preparation will pay off in terms of long term protection against the elements.

Thanks for the comments.

The original engine (FORD Taunus V4) needed boring out from a 1.5 so it's was a good excuse to bore it out to 1740cc, new pistons etc and a larger carb. It should now kick out a whopping 100hp from 65 Rolling with laughter but this was actually the first level for the rally cars of the period. It has been ported, sports exhaust etc already present etc. Gives a bit more grunt off the lights to keep up with modern traffic.

I remember going with my late grandad in 1971 to collect his brand new Saab 96, from JCT600 near Yeadon in Leeds. I was age 6. It was white, with green velour interior. I can remember being fascinated by the way the bonnet opened, and column change gears! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Busy month for undersealing Defenders at work so little done apart refurbing the master cylinder and prepping the wings ready for paint (my sprayer had to move premises in between my job!). Also bought a NOS SAAB Sport&Rally accessory rev counter.
