Could it have been a prototype? Or perhaps a 1 of 1 build by Bentley? Would certainly explain why it is currently untaxed. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

More info on the Bentley here :
https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-spotte...kywt/32587 The starting point for the modified engine was probably the 6.5L straight eight B81 as fitted to the Alvis Stalwart. |

As I thought, an expensive toy with no provenance, but visually appealing and I'll bet a lot of fun (and I imagine quite difficult) to drive.
I'm a little surprised that it managed to retain its 1953 registration, assuming of course that that is its 1953 registration and not a vanity plate. |

Now, I don't know about you, but I cannot remember the last time I saw a red Ford Escort with a giant doily on top of it
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy0lklpn8l3o Are those wheels period to that Escort? Apparently, Jasleen Kaur is a Scottish artist who uses cars, worship bells and Irn-Bru in her work It looks pretty rust free |

A white E reg Austin Maestro today in a little village near Saxmundham in Suffolk.
It had just started up but it smelt a bit rich. I also clocked a very modified Mark 3 Ford Cortina in Beccles. Seemed the day for seeing old cars |

I saw a red Saab 900 on a " G " 89-90 plate today coming towards me so i couldn't see if it was the S or the Turbo as it had all the factory skirts on it, very nice it was to 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I used to work with a Guy who maintained that the Saab 900 was built back to front and the car was more aerodynamic in reverse gear than any forward gears
I always liked the Saab 900 |

I really like Saab’s but never owned one. I’m still tempted. WARNING.

Nice, I came close twice. The first was a Japanese import Saab 9.2 estate that was based on a Subaru Impreza WRX but it was a bit too spendy and too nice as I needed it for a daily. Most recently a 900 turbo but needed a bit too much work. I will scratch that itch at some point though… WARNING.

Over the years in my family we have had four SAAB 99s and four SAAB 900s, one of the latter being a 3-door Turbo which was a very enjoyable car to drive. Ahead of their time in so many ways.

Spotted this in Nateby on Saturday morning outside the Black Bull, just after I had taken the photo and was walking back to the car a Triumph 1300 drove past but I couldn't get my camera out in time. Later in the day we saw what I think was a Bentley 4 1/2 Litre, a very early Lancia and again a very early Mercedes
