Good news for Td5 owners... We have now managed to get ATRIC working with all EU3 Td5 models!
Even better is the price... An ATRIC module for Td5 for just 395+VAT. (Before anyone asks, That is the Forum Price!) Click image to enlarge |

Pardon my ignorance, but does that price include a map or is it just for the unit?
Thanks |

The price does indeed include a custom remap.
You get the same level of service as you would with any of our other tuning products. |

Of course there are deals to be had. The only issue is that ATRIC first needs to read the original map file from your car, and will store this in its memory as an 'original'. In your case however, the map on your car is far from original! The only way I can see of doing this is if I configure the units here, by making a clone of your ECU on the bench. All achievable, but quite time consuming. |

I could be very tempted in the new year.
So would this be a through the post job, then we would load the map ourselves? or would we need to come up and have the map made up first? Is it two maps thats can be stored? original + Map or original + 2? Cheers Current:D4 HSE Gone: BMW Z4MC Gone: Defender TD5 90 CSW Previous: Discovery TD5 ES (Gone) |

Understood, thanks Gary. I'm not in a rush to do this and I don't want you going to all that effort to clone my ECU when you could be doing better things. I'll maybe pop up to you guys at some point next year. I still need to sample the fish and chips! Will PM you nearer the time Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

ATRIC remapping is done through the post, and is available to anyone around the world. As long as you have access to a Windows PC, the rest is simple. Tuning as always, will be tailored to your needs, and so I would like to think that I could get it right first time. I have tuned a few Td5's in my time! However, should any fine tuning to the mapping be required, then of course I will be happy to oblige. It's useful if you decide to upgrade to a bigger intercooler etc in future too, as I can easily send out a revised map file to you. |

I have a nanocom would it be cheaper to have the map file sent out to put it on via nanocom instead of buyinh the ATRIC unit? what are the pros and cons of this?

ATRIC will allow you to quickly change from standard tune, to performance tune. It will also allow you to read and clear engine management fault codes. To be honest, on a Td5, this is all you need it to do.
If you have a nanocom already then it would pay to use that. The ecu programming takes much longer, and so there is a greater risk of programming failure than there would be with ATRIC. |

Go for the Atric unit for installing the remap files as it tests the map files before and after loading. If you still fancy using the nanocom go onto AULRO.com and have a look in the Electronics section for some real woe stories on nanocom programming that has gone wrong.
And a big plus for the Atric unit is the support and back up you will receive as an Alive customer. |
