That sucks, not a great way to start your ownership. I would like to think the dealer would push this through to get fixed ASAP then hopefully you can enjoy the car.

Inform dealer you are considering rejecting the car for a full refund, if within 30 days of collecting they don't have to be allowed to repair, straight refund, that way they'll have a pre reg car, which now supply has improved they won't be able to sell at a premium, that should focus their attention to fix ASAP.

Despite Boeing’s recent woes, being compared to JLR dealerships would be a major insult to their staff! I can’t think of another premium product brand that gets its aftermarket support so wrong. In fact Boeing’s aftercare is world class.

The dealer has topped up the ad blue prior to hand over? Perhaps adblue they’ve had kicking around that’s been passed it’s best causing sensor issues? 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Yes - level was checked by Land Rover Assist. LRA said it was the ad blue injector wasnt firing, which is why he couldnt fix on the drive.
Not feeling that confident of a quick fix… certainly giving a lot of thought to rejecting the car as others have said |

Done a quick google seems a common issue, I’m on my 4th Defender and never experienced any Adblue issues, I’ve had LRs with AdBlue since 2015 with no issues. I think it’s just one of those things, takes the shine of it nonetheless though. I just picked up my 24MY 90 on Thursday past so hopefully I’ve not jinxed it. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Got it sorted and the car back, just a week later! Not 100% sure on the issue or the fix, information was hard to come by … but it’s back and running nicely

Its great you have the car back. The quote above so JLR typical..and makes no sense. The car is yours, your paid for property. You have every right to an explanation. I wouldn't have left the dealer without a valid one. Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....
