I just received mine today. I read the ccf and ECI info, and emailed them to myself and that’s all I’ve done with it so far. It connects and works the same as the gen 3, as far as I can tell, and it activated within the iOS app. It showed connected DoIP. I hope to work with it this weekend.
For those of you still with your gen 3s, you should update the firmware and look at the new ccf descriptions that they’ve added. |

lt says engine tuning is available with the G4.
But at extra cost. l assume this means you have to pay for the software to be downloaded to the GAP tool and then transferred to your vehicle In the U.K. the 3.0 diesel is available in four power levels, 200, 250, 300 and 350bhp The difference is only software l am told. Hopefully this means that people will be able to upgrade their D200 or D250 to a D300. The D350 is only available in the Range Rover. |

What new features does the G4 enable out of the box? Or will new features still wait on them writing additional software to take advantage of the new hardware.

The biggest thing you get is the ability to reset the DADC after changing troublesome settings like ACC.
I haven't spend any time with mine yet beyond verifying it connects, clears faults and reads CCF and ECU info. |
