This reminds me of a similar build I did on my then new Td5 back in 1999 ![]() I took the gas strut fixings off the righthand side and welded in on the lefthand side, after cutting the welded nuts off the left side to mount on the right side. This allowed the step to be positioned on the chassis rail and not fouling any other parts. PS Like the build, just catching up with your progress ![]() |

I did a similar trip last year. Why leave the isles when you have this on the doorstep?

Brilliant build. Brother in law is thinking of a defender camper build so I sent him the link for inspiration

Thank you! There’s a few camper builds on here to look through, it’s great to see what others have done with the very limited space, it helped us when doing ours ![]() Only advice to your brother in law is to expect it to cost a lot more than you think it might!! 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper, build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72352.html 2014 Discovery 4 SE Tech Instagram @the110camper |

I don’t normally like the look of the Alu cab roof as it upsets the lines of the defender roof, but must say yours with the sun visor and then rack on top breaks up the lines nicely and blends it all in well.
Very nice camper indeed and one day I may get round to building a 110 or 130 |

Thank you!
The main reason for the home made light bar was to somewhat disguise the large forehead of the pop top, along with the rack and sun visor it kinda blends a bit more ![]() Good luck on your build, I would like a 130 to potter with ![]() 2014 Discovery 4 SE Tech Instagram @the110camper |

Just read this from start to finish. Absolutely beautiful!
You should be so proud of the finished product. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |
