The wording is actually included in the link Bluest posted above the link Bluest posted above even though this isn't the source legislation, it is for "commercial carriage of goods". Legally the term "goods" does not imply any kind of commercial operation (merely being personal chattels and other objects which can be detached from land, i.e., movable), so the significant word is "commercial" which means in connection with a trade or business.

So the derogation would apply to anyone with a Cat B licence driving an "alternatively fuelled" vehicle in connection with the carriage of one or more non-human object which is being transported in connection with someone's - not necessarily the driver's - business.

A goods vehicle, which is extremely adequately defined in The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 (as amended), is merely a vehicle which is primarily designed to carry objects not people.

Bear in mind also that HMRC use its own definitions for things like "goods vehicle" and these definitions have no basis in general law and are, or may be, entirely different to those use in road traffic legislation.

I dint know why anyone was worried about the Grenadier filling the shoes of the old Defender. Seems they are making the news for used for hunting big game already!

I feel like the front is the biggest letdown, interior is very nice, premium but at the same time utilitarian.

You can see the BMW influence, which in my opinion is a good thing.

Does a Puma bumper not stick out a similar amount with the plastic cladding and end caps? The only real difference is there is an air cap on the Puma's between the bumper and wing. I bet the dimensions aren't hugely different though.

I think itโ€™s probably 1/2 again if not double the width of the puma bumpers. That and the front grille design is what spoils it, the rest is spot on.

So is the Wranglers but that is a just marketing speak for we needed it to pass crash test regulations.

l agree.
l am sure that a smaller aftermarket replacement front bumper will soon be available, as it is with the Wrangler.
Also, fitting an A-bar improves the looks of it.

I'm pretty sure that the bumper has to be like that in order for the vehicle to gain type approval (it will be an attempt to throw "just stop oil" protesters and other pedestrians onto the bonnet rather than under the vehicle) so replacing it with something else could cause all manner of issues. It won't stop people from do it though.

For the UK market at least the front bumper has to be plastic to meet crash regulations, it some other markets its steel like the rear bumper. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Indeed, the ZA spec would appear to have a slimmer bumper design from what I can see on the pictures
