It appears the bulb has failed in my hazard switch. The power lead snapped recently which I repaired, but now it seems the bulb has gone. The switch does not light up with the headlights on, nor flashes when pushed.
I can only see one tiny build that pops out when I turn it, is this the only light? And where can I source a replacement? Could anything else make it not work? I can see no damage to the wiring. The switches are stupidly expensive to replace. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

It's possible to dismantle the switch and fit a new bulb, Iused a "Scalextric" bulb sourced from Ebay... Only because I couldn't at the time find "grain of wheat" bulbs used in model railways.... It's a fiddly job if i remember but doable with care, good luck 🤞

Luckily you won’t get ripped off on EBay then. The price is bad enough without the markup eBay sellers add.

I now wish I took a pic when I had mine out. I ordered what I thought was a replacement bulb but said bulbs were too large/long to fit and the bulb in the holder is oh so tiny.
These bulbs are also used in model trains and cars, as mentioned further up. Land Rover parts websites sell them but at a hefty price for a small bulb. I did clean the contact points on mine thinking maybe it wasn't the bulb but then the other day I happened to tap the hazard switch and it lit up! Good luck |

286 1.2w capless type, often made by Lucas but there is Genuine as well, which is likely the former anyway.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R4...p;_sacat=0 As far as I’m aware that’s the size the centre dash takes, I do know they are 1.2w for sure. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

I bought those bulbs and when I had the Hazard bulb holder out, I could not for the life of me see how they would fit. Perhaps I should give prizing the bulb a go and see.
Please report back if you give this a go yourself |

The bulb should pull out like the others do, they are a push fit but equally it’s so thing you have got to be careful of is to not break the bulb.
A drinking straw may fit, but some pliers with electrical tape on the bulb may work too but you’d need to be careful to only grip it lightly* or the bulb will break. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can get the bulb out and have a look. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

This is mad, I came on here to ask about the bulb also, but we have an electronic repair facility on site where I work and they had them in stock.
Radionics sell them and the code is 655-9198 https://ie.rs-online.com/web/p/incandescent-light-bulbs/6559198 Shane |
