Right then.
Been playing with it all day. Set TPS to within limits. Set MAF to 1.8v at no load. Set dist. Set throttle butterfly 1mm open. No air leaks all pipes connected. It ran once this morn but then it’s still over fuelling. Wouldn’t start again. Have checked spark at all plugs. Ok. Marked timing and set. Advanced by 8 deg. Nothing. Tries to fire occasionally but think it’s flooding. Rovergauge is not giving me a maf reading. Have not been able to start again all day. What am I missing? |

‘‘Twas flooded.
Got her running well today. Even good enough to run up and down the road. I’m struggling to get the timing just right. And when I get close it’s all good and then get a misfire. I think I will have to check the injectors again. But it’s progress that’s for sure. |

With the v8 injectors. Does anyone know if they have to have the filters fitted? Does this affect the spray pattern? Mine have nothing fitted.

Full set of new injectors. Now all back together.
Took her out today and gave her a good run. Still idling slightly high and have an air leak I can’t find but it’s running really well. Pulls well and sounds nice. ?si=7FSMlcPXqy8f9KbN Next job is to lower it and get it re sprayed. Maybe next spring now. Steve. |

Many years ago I had a 90 with engine and box out of a classic Range Rover. That had idling issues at one point.
There is a stepper motor, I think it was called. In the inlet between the air filter and plenum chamber somewhere. Cannot recall what or how it was fixed? |

Can anyone tell me the part number for the rad. Have a leak on that now but only when it’s cold.
Thanks. |

If you're looking for information about parts for this vehicle then you could do a lot worse than contact Philip Bashall of the Dunsfold Collection. Apart from the fact that he's probably forgotten more about special Land Rovers than most of us will ever know, he's actually got a NAS prototype in the collection:

No need to use a 50th rad. I used a D Turbo rad on mine. It’s run for 4 years just fine and includes an engine oil cooler/warmer element if you have the pipework. Part no. NTC6168.
You’ll just need a T piece for the header tank vent. Click image to enlarge JB @Lodelaner Instagram Youtube greenlaning and other LR related content |

Excellent.
Good news is I think it was just the hose. It was dripping and the wind was blowing it up into the fins. Thanks for the reply. Steve. |

Other option is to get it re-cored at a radiator place.
