Need help with cruise control wiring – 2.4l
Hi Guys,

i just received the cruise control for my Defender 2.4l.

Im a bit confused by the wiring diagram, i hope you can help me out here.
Attached you find some pictures.

the upper connector shows a yellow cable which has to go on a red cable, but which red cable?
And where does the red cable go then?
The lower connector shows a blue cable which has to go on the red cable witch has a fuse.

Can you help me out here?

Thx!
Gian

What brand is the cruise control? I have a Mobile Centre one which is a rebranded LiteOn Unit. If yours is the same I could scan my wiring instructions for you in case that helps. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thx, but its not the same i think.

Its one from Britpart, manufacturer is from Denmark.
The Name of the Cruise Control is: E-Cruise Control. Several other shops sell this, also Nakatanenga from Germany...

Thx for the Help!

Hi Guys,

now everything is clear – thx anyway for the help!

Have an other question. Has anyone crimped the cables instead of soldering?

thx

There are several fairly compelling engineering reasons why crimping is more satisfactory and more durable than soldering.

Hi Guys,

one more question here...

Can i use the speed signal from the gearbox instead of the speedometer unit?
If yes, can someone tell me where i can find the speed signal on the gearbox on my 2.4 and which cable color i have to use?

thx
