Does it do this with the engine running as well? The timer will only engage with the engine running and the oil pressure light off.

thanks, thats what i was afraid of.
Yup i have read that it only works with engine running and correct oil temp. Sounds like i need to start replacing the relays ! |

Nothing to do with oil temperature. It’s oil pressure. Once the oil pressure switch opens (oil warning lamp off, i.e. engine running) then the timer will operate the relay.
